A few years later we put our minds into starting a shoe store. With my retail experience, and Bill’s footwear knowledge, I thought it would be very exciting for me to start a business. It has always been a dream for me to start my own business. I grew up very poor in Colombia and what an honor it is for me to become a successful business woman.

I opened a 4200 sf shoe store in Kissimmee Florida. I was in the location for over 12 years. I decided to move the business to Boca Raton, Bill went to college in Boca Raton and we both like South Florida. Then covid came and I inventoried our shoes. Currently I am looking for a location. But in the meantime I have a large database of loyal customers that I directly sell to. I am seeking new accounts and once I reach an appropriate inventory level I am planning to open a brick and mortar store.

Since inception of 2012, I have had majority ownership of Sun Atlantic Group LLC, dba Footwear Today.

Recently I applied for multiple minority owned women’s business certifications.

I have pending approval for:
The National Minority Supplier Council (NMSDC)
SAM certification for the 8(a) program.
